Our expectations of parental / school links…
We fully appreciate the vitality of building home/school links at Glen Hills. Homework and tasks will be given out at regular opportunities for your child in year 4. Please go to our Learning Environment and onto the year 4 page for many super links to sites which will assist both you and your child.
Reading with your child! Probably the most vital aspect of ensuring children get a love of books! Ideally, a little bit of reading together should be done every day with specific questioning of the text they have read to assist with comprehension and secured understanding.
Spellings – these will be given out by your child’s teacher to learn and will follow specific spelling rules for year 4.
Maths – times tables (as detailed by your child’s teacher) and number facts will be given out for homework, as well as reinforcement of techniques learnt in school.
