This is our latest Core Plan which explains how we are continuing to improve Glen Hills. Governors, teachers, classroom support and parental views are all taken into account in this plan.
The Main Priority Areas for development over the next twelve months are as follows;
Priority 1
Focus upon Reading Progress in KS2 (including GDS and Disadvantged)
Why was this chosen as a priority?
Although improved in 2017/18,Covid has an impact on reading so it remains a priority, so we still need to focus specifically on Reading and progress in KS2 to ensure that progress, as well as
high attainment, continues to rise.
Priority 2
Focus on challenge and Greater Depth Standard
Why was this chosen as a priority?
This is an area which we feel we can make further key improvements with, especially with the altered Provision Maps and Medium Term Plans to ensure higher retention of subject knowlege, building on
schema and long term memory to embed skills, concepts and knowlwedge to raise standards.
Priority 3
Focus upon Writing Progress in KS2 (including GDS and Disadvantaged)
Why was this chosen as a priority?
Data suggests that, although EXS standards are above NA in writing, GDS needs to have higher outcomes in KS1 and 2.
